Rice Military Primary Suite Renovation
The Home
This project is located in Rice Military, Houston. In this home, the homeowners struggled with their primary suite. It lacked storage, accessibility, and didn’t fit their lifestyle. As a result, we were contracted to completely remodel their primary suite from the studs in addition to building an outdoor kitchen.
The Existing Home

How do we customize this space to best meet their needs?
How We Took Action
To make the primary suite much more accessible, we worked with the homeowner to create a layout that best met their needs. Instead of an existing bath, we transformed it to a utility room. We tore down walls to open their closet. Overall, we designed the space to give the homeowners more breathing room while making space for storage.
For storage, Crafted’s carpentry team fabricated built-in cabinets throughout the entire space. That way, the homeowners have more storage space plus their desired wood look in the hallway.
Collaborating with Dungan Miller Designs
During our process of building the shower, we collaborated with David Miller of Dungan Miller Designs. David specializes in unique concrete finishes and through this partnership, we delivered a concrete finished shower that blew our clients’ minds.
The Result
The homeowners were ecstatic to see their once outdated space transformed into a natural, monolithic space. From the outdoor kitchen and stairs to their primary suite, this look is uniform throughout the home. They now better utilize the space with the new utility room and built-in storage.
